Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Kinesiology or closely related field. One year of experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

| Nature & Purpose of Position |
Performs routine managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Athletics Department at Sam Houston State University.

| Primary Responsibilities |
Manages the maintenance and usage of athletic facilities with other departments on campus and seeks out revenue producing events for Sam Houston Athletic facilities. Manages activities of event support staff in the athletics department. Establishes goals and objectives for athletic facility projects and improvements. Develops guidelines, procedures, and rules for facility usage. Develops schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals. Coordinates and evaluates business activities such as facility rentals, game day support hiring, maintenance, procurement, purchasing and payments. Monitors budget expenditures. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of others. Performs other related duties as assigned.
