Position Summary Information
About This Role: Assists the Assistant/Associate Athletics Director – Operations with all sporting event activities and operations of the athletics department venues. Works with the LU athletics director, administration, staff, students and the community to enhance the athletics facilities. What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities Assist in the scheduling and supervision of daily operation of all athletic facilities which includes the Montagne Center, Provost Umphrey Stadium, Lamar Soccer and Softball Complex, Vincent-Beck Stadium, McDonald Gym, Ty Terrell Track, and Thompson Family Tennis Center. Assists in coordinating maintenance of all athletic venues, including regular reporting of the state of all athletic facilities and equipment for capital planning and management purposes. For assigned sports, schedule and supervise all event staff for home athletic contests; assist with other events held at the athletic venues Plan and manage logistics for all home athletic contests for assigned sports, to include security, parking, hosting officials, facility supervision and all student workers for event management Update visiting team guides and coordinate distribution to visiting teams Supervise 10-20 student workers for athletic operations Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
