Job Summary:

Assist the lead videographer and Marketing and Communications team with conceptualizing, shooting, and editing video assignments. Duties include filming for various campus events like feature stories, departmental videos, press conferences, and occasionally athletics. Light editing may also be required. Knowledge of professional video camera settings like white balance and iris required. Must be able to improvise and think quickly, work well solo and within a team.

  • Assist the lead videographer and video team by shooting/editing/producing a range of high-quality academic and athletic video content for use across Drury University social media, websites, and in-arena displays.
  • Complete projects ahead of deadlines, while meeting the overall strategy and branding guidelines of the department
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team before and throughout projects to ensure strategy and mission is consistent throughout process.
  • Assist the lead videographer in creative video content strategy for select sports’ video content.
  • Assist the social media manager on shoots for online content when needed.
  • Be available to work select nights and weekends with tight turnaround times for delivering content online or to lead videographer.
  • Provide insight to push department forward with emerging trends in social, digital media and music.
  • Be able to balance multiple editing projects and shooting assignments on parallel timelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
