Reporting directly to the Senior Associate Athletics Director, External Operations, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for engaging with students and fans to increase brand affinity and attend events.

Reporting directly to the Senior Associate Athletics Director, External Operations, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for engaging with students and fans to increase brand affinity and attend events.
The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
Identify, develop, and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to enhance campus life, and build student attendance and engagement at sporting events.
Develop marketing strategies to support campus events, and communicate and promote athletic events to students.
Create engagement opportunities for student-athletes, coaches, spirit team members, and the mascot to interact with students on campus.
Serves as a liaison and primary point of contact between the athletics marketing department and the student body, GW campus, and local community.
Collaborate with student organizations to support their initiatives and promote participation.
Manage the promotional and marketing schedule, all in-game promotional activities, including scripting, music, video board content, sponsorship activations, in-game entertainment, and on-court promotions for sports as determined.
Conduct surveys and gather feedback to assess student satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
The position is based at GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC. The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/
GED
plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in marketing, fan engagement, or sports management.
$21.27 - $27.63
