Position Details:
Summary of Duties:
Under general supervision, independently perform a variety of troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, construction, testing, and installation activities on media equipment and systems including scoreboards, speaker systems, microphones, amplifiers, video cameras, monitors, lighting systems, and other A/V equipment on behalf of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Required Qualifications:
One year of experience as a Media Maintenance Technician 1; OR three years of experience as media maintenance technician; OR equivalent education/experience.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Ability to obtain valid driver’s license at time of hire.
Ability to work evenings and on weekends on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of experience in Athletic Event and Facilities Operations or other closely related area of Athletics.
Experience working with students, coaches, and administrators in a broad range of situations.
Experience working with broad event operations.
Experience with facility maintenance.
Demonstrated interpersonal relations skills.
Experience within intercollegiate athletics.
Experience that demonstrated the ability to function professionally under high stress, confrontational circumstances.
Experience that demonstrates the ability to provide clear information on an impromptu basis to individuals or groups of people.
Experience that demonstrates the ability to promote diversity.
Experience that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems and situations, consider viable alternatives, engage in creative thinking and resolve problems both in the long term and on short notice.
Knowledge and understanding of applicable rules and regulations, including State of Washington, Washington State University, Athletic Department,NCAA, and Pac-12 Conference rules and regulations.

Monthly Salary:
$3,728 to $4,987 | Range 43 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28OR applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. Step M is typically a longevity step.
