Summary of Job Duties: Under the direction of the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the General Manager is critically involved in all aspects of the program to include, practice planning, player training and development, recruiting, coordination of team play, and staff oversight, for managing areas of the basketball office, to include scouting, analytics, practice and game preparation, operations and on-campus recruiting. This position will employ high professional standards, ethical behaviors and adherence to UA Athletics, University, Conference, and NCAA rules.

This position will serve as liaison to all Division offices/departments including, but not limited to, NCAA Compliance, Athletics Facilities/Operations, Tickets and Equipment Services; coordinating on-campus recruiting visits and recruiting paperwork; coordinating team travel arrangements; monitoring the basketball budget; and performing other program duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach; and for other duties as assigned.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the qualification listed above.

• Prior experience working with a college or professional basketball program

• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and development of student-athletes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with NCAA Division I men’s basketball recruiting, scouting, or operations
