The Athletics Department at Southwestern College is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Graduate Assistant Coach for the Men’s Basketball program.

Position Description
Duties for the position include assisting the head coach in all aspects of the program (practices, games, recruiting, conditioning, overseeing academics, etc.). Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Recruiting experience is encouraged but not required. Good character & communication skills, self-motivation, and leadership skills are essential. Position compensated with graduate studies, housing, coaching & meal stipend.

Position begins on August 1, 2025

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and admission into a Southwestern College graduate program
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Weekend and evening hours required
• Driver’s license required, current CDL preferred

• Stipend: $5,000/year
• Tuition: Full tuition waiver
• Housing: On-campus apartment plus flex spending for on-campus meals
