Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related work experience within collegiate or professional basketball setting. Work experience may include graduate assistantship, video coordination, coaching experience in high school, or any role with a professional organization. Grade 11 (Salary).

Position Description:

The Director of Operations for Men’s Basketball will oversee and organize many facets of the Men’s Basketball program including compliance, academics, gameday schedule, daily practice, and workout schedules, assisting with on campus visits, community relations, road/travel schedules. This position reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as Men’s Basketball program liaison to Compliance ensuring all student-athletes are meeting required standards to remain eligible for competition.
• Plan and maintain daily schedule for student-athletes including practices, lifting, and workouts ensuring all student-athletes’ academic schedule is not interfered with.
• Oversee and monitor the men’s basketball student-athletes’ dorm (Billy Minardi Hall) for quality checks and ensuring all visitors are within NCAA and ACC compliance rules and regulations.
• Serve as Men’s Basketball program liaison to Academic Services ensuring all student-athletes are meeting the academic standards to remain eligible for competition and in line for graduation. Spot check to make sure student-athletes are attending classes and completing assignments.
• Assist coaching staff with monitoring and tracking assigned stats throughout all practices and games tasked with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the student-athletes.
• Assist coaching staff with planning and monitoring on campus visits by prospective student-athletes ensuring the visits are both enjoyable and informative for the prospects, while also maintaining all compliance rules and regulations in accordance with the NCAA and ACC.
• Plan and maintain the practice schedule for the team during all road/travel games. Secure practice space and availability prior to travelling for road games.
• Assist visiting opponents with any travel needs to may arise including hotel accommodations, practice space, meal ordering, etc.
• Oversee and manage all ticket needs for both home and road events in relation to student-athletes’ families and friends of the program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work experience as a Director of Operations for a Division I collegiate men’s basketball program.
• Three (3) years of related work experience within collegiate or professional men’s basketball setting. Work experience may include graduate assistantship, video coordination, coaching experience in high school, or any role with professional or NBA organization.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Sportscode, Turbo, and FastScout.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
