MEN’S HEAD JV (Developmental) BASKETBALL COACH

Brescia University, a small Catholic Liberal Arts University located in Kentucky is searching
for a part-time JV coach for the women’s basketball program. The position will be
responsible for recruiting and developing student athletes as well as the overall success of the
JV program in accordance with Brescia University’s athletic program’s overall goals.

MEN’S HEAD JV (Developmental) BASKETBALL COACH

Brescia University, a small Catholic Liberal Arts University located in Kentucky is searching
for a part-time JV coach for the women’s basketball program. The position will be
responsible for recruiting and developing student athletes as well as the overall success of the
JV program in accordance with Brescia University’s athletic program’s overall goals.

Qualifications are:

• High school graduate or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred in Sport
Administration, Recreation Administration, College Student Personnel
Administration, Physical Education, or related area

• 1 year of club, high school coaching or playing experience; preferably at collegiate

level

• Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable by Brescia insurance.
• Effective communication skills
• Experience developing player skills and techniques, along with executing game

strategies.

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Responsible for monitoring the student athletes’ performance in the classroom

and for the behavior of team during games;

• Recruit student athletes;
• Organize activities, analyze performance, and instruct student athletes in game

strategies and techniques;

• Supervise strength and conditioning workouts
• Responsible for scheduling and conducting team practices and game travel,

maintaining budget, supplies, and equipment
