Men's Lacrosse Graduate Assistant

The University of Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated and motivated Graduate Assistant Coach to support the daily operations of its intercollegiate athletics program. This position assists the Head Coach with all aspects of team management, including coaching, recruiting, and administrative responsibilities, while pursuing a graduate degree at UIndy. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to NCAA Division II values. This role offers hands-on coaching experience while contributing to the growth and development of student-athletes both academically and athletically.
 

REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
● Experience as a student-athlete and/or in a coaching or teaching capacity
● Demonstrated knowledge of sport-specific fundamentals, strategy, and training techniques
Education:
● Bachelor’s degree required
● Acceptance into a UIndy graduate program required
Skills & Abilities:
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
● Organizational skills with attention to detail
● Ability to manage time effectively while balancing coaching and academic responsibilities
● Willingness to learn NCAA rules and compliance procedures
Other Requirements:
● Valid driver’s license
● Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as required

• Assist with coaching at practices, competitions, and training sessions
• Support recruiting efforts through outreach, campus visits, and evaluations
