The University seeks a part-time Goalkeeper Men’s Soccer Coach for its Athletic Department on the main
campus. The position reports to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Director of Athletics, and is available
immediately, upon appointment of a successful candidate.

The University seeks a part-time Goalkeeper Men’s Soccer Coach for its Athletic Department on the main
campus. The position reports to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Director of Athletics, and is available
immediately, upon appointment of a successful candidate.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Primary:
• Collaborate with head coach to create a goalkeeper training schedule
• Collaborate with head coach to run goalkeeper training activities aligned with team
session objectives
• Work with goalkeepers in both individual and small group formats
• Run positional group meetings for goalkeeper specific analysis and development
• Recruiting and game analysis duties as assigned
• Be actively involved in all coaching and teaching aspects consistent with the head
coach’s philosophy and objectives
• Assist in planning daily practices
• Recruit student-athletes with a mission fit to the university in conjunction with the head
coach for both the 1st team and Reserves
• Answer and initiate mailings, emails, phone calls, texts
• Arrange on-campus visits
• Arrange high school visits
Secondary:
• Contribute to campus and clinics
• Help promote fundraising efforts
• Establish connections and contacts with alumni
• Maintain a positive spiritual influence on players and students
• Other duties as assigned
Expectations for the successful candidate:
• Evangelical Christian statement of faith, experience, and mission fit
• Bachelor degree or equivalent is preferred
• Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred
• Knowledge of coaching philosophies and implementation within a team
• Experience with Microsoft Office and with office equipment (printers, copiers, etc.)

• Excellent technology, face-to-face, and phone skills
• Ability to compose clear, professional letters, emails, and announcements
• Ability to communicate and work effectively and creatively with students, parents,
administrators, faculty and staff
• Must be capable of sitting, walking or standing for long periods of time; frequent use of
stairs; ability to lift 50 pounds
