The Head Men’s Soccer Coach oversees all aspects of the university's men’s soccer program, both on and off the field. This role involves mentoring student-athletes, providing academic guidance, and fostering personal development. The coach is responsible for recruitment, budget management, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with NAIA regulations. Additionally, they create a supportive and safe environment conducive to academic, athletic and personal growth.
• Recruit student-athletes to fulfill roster and recruitment objectives.
• Manage and monitor the allocated budget in accordance with university guidelines.
• Schedule inter-collegiate games/scrimmages within NAIA, GPAC, and college policies.
• Teach and ensure adherence to NAIA policies and regulations, effectively communicating them to stakeholders.
• Coordinate pre-game and game arrangements, including equipment, travel, field scheduling, and operations personnel, as well as communication with faculty.
• Develop and implement practice schedules within university policies.

• Instruct, advise, and coach the team during games and practices, promoting respect and upholding the university's values.
• Serve as a professional representative to promote the men’s soccer program as well as the Briar Cliff University Athletic Department.
• Assist with fundraising and general sports promotion efforts.
• Participate in university committees as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in collegiate coaching.
• Knowledge of and adherence to NAIA policies and regulations.
• Demonstrated success as a recruiter, preferably within a 300-mile radius of BCU.
