LOUISVILLE ATHLETICS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
The University of Louisville's commitment to student-athlete success includes developing a multi-faceted, progressive NIL program that generates impactful programming, resources, partnerships and outreach that best serve and support our student-athletes in their NIL pursuits.
Learning objectives for the NIL Intern include, but are not limited to:
- Develop fundamental understanding of educational and transactional needs University of Louisville student-athletes have in pursuing NIL opportunities
- Gain project management experience and subject-matter awareness with NIL educational curriculum and resources for student-athletes to develop their acumen in business transactions, contracts, negotiations, marketing, social media, taxes, and other areas.
- Foster positive and constructive relationships with various third-parties including university partners, business owners, donors, prospects, parents/guardians, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders.
- Gain experience and advanced understanding of NIL transactional impacts including in the areas of licensing, intellectual property, and facilities use.
- Develop effective working relationships and communication skills with staff in other University athletic and campus units in support of NIL initiatives.
