| Preferred Qualifications |
Master’s degree. Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credentials and be eligible for dietitian licensure in Georgia. Sports-specific nutrition knowledge and have experience working with high-level athletes in a collegiate setting. At least one to two years of related experience in a sports nutrition program.

| Position Summary |
The Performance Nutritionist will provide comprehensive nutritional services to the University of Georgia Athletic Association (UGAAA) men’s and women’s basketball programs. This employee will be responsible for performance nutrition education and counseling for individual basketball student-athletes. The employee is expected to collaborate with a range of UGAAA staff members (including but not limited to physicians, athletic training, athletic coaching, strength and conditioning, mental health, operations, academics, and administration) and a variety of outside foodservice vendors.

| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
Knowledge of nutrition principles as they relate to health and human performance and have experience working with high level athletes, preferably in a collegiate setting. Experience with body composition analysis and medical nutrition therapy case management.

Bending, stooping, seeing, lifting a minimum of 25 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions.
