The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Office Assistant for Athletics Finance & Administration.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Assists with on-boarding, reappointments and termination of employees from the University PeopleSoft system.
Enters information into staff data base.
Enters hours for payroll related functions for the Division of Intercollegiate athletics through Kronos and time and labor systems.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping or related experience.

- Familiarity with accounting, procurement and other software and systems.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
