The Department of Sport Management (SPM) is seeking a part-time Office Assistant who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and dedicated to providing professional office support performing a variety of duties as assigned according to the daily needs and operations of the department. This includes but not limited to: Provide professional administrative and clerical support to the faculty and staff. Promote a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere, fostering a sense of unity and teamwork among colleagues in the workplace. Acting as a receptionist the Dept of Sport Management, assisting with travel and purchasing. Add, modify, update, and correct data entries to ensure accuracy. Process outgoing and sorting incoming mail. Maintain electronic scheduling calendar for the department conference room. Report needed services and repairs. Assisting with travel and purchasing. Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.
• Customer service experience.• High level of computer literacy and comfort using online technologies• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ability to convey information clearly and effectively is crucial for this role.• Excellent organizational skills to manage data and information efficiently.• Strong time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.• Proficiency in programs such as Adobe, Microsoft Excel and Word.• The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, technologies, and processes.
