Job Summary

Assist in all facets of Division I Athletics event operations management;Assist with the overall game day operation and team operations of the following varsity sports, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball and women’s soccer;Event staff employees are responsible for all other duties assigned in addition to their specific job description;Event staff employees are required to properly setup and breakdown for an athletic event;Event staff employees are required to attend brief and debrief meetings before and following the event to obtain more information necessary to job performance;Event staff employees are required to be knowledgeable of conference and NCAA rules and regulations for the respective sport event;Must have the ability to perform duties outdoors in various weather conditions such as, rain, cold/hot days if necessary;Complete game duties, promotions and projects as assigned by Administrators;Hours include days, nights and weekend and possibly holidays;Willingness to represent Chicago State University, and our mission and core values, in a positive manner on and off campus.

Job Description

Official Scorebook Obtain team roster from coach or a representative prior to ten minutes before the start of the game Keep written record of games in the scorebook and insure that scoreboard is accurate during games Assist coaches, officials, and other table staff as needed DV Sport Replay System Operate the DV Sport Replay System during games Assist officials in use of replay system Assist other table staff when necessary Statistician Maintains scores and records for each competition Compiles statistics for each game Records and/or posts individual and team statistics in accordance with official rules and requirements Assist the officials and other table staff during the game

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.College-level coursework and familiarity with event operations, equipment operations, facility or sports management.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodations.Must commit to work all Chicago State home games.Ability to maintain a professional appearance.Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and familiarity with event operations, equipment operations, facility or sports management.
