What we want
The Olympic Sports Performance - Program Aide will assist the sports performance staff in all day-to-day operations at three Texas A&M weight rooms. Practical experiences will include but are not limited to: assisting staff in the implementation of sport performance programs for Olympic sports, leading small groups independently, set up/breakdown of training equipment and assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities. The role will participate and complete all assignment requirements through our formalized intern education curriculum and attend all staff meetings. Responsibilities:
Safety - Assists staff in the implementation of assigned sports performance programs. Sets up and breaks down training equipment. Maintains and up-keeps the facilities to ensure a safe training environment.
Compliance - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised.
Coaching - Actively coaches and teaches, and demonstrates proper movement and lifting technique. Coaches small training groups independently. Performs other duties as assigned.
