The Operations and Analytics Coordinator / Football assists the Director of Football Operations, Chief of Staff & Head Football Coach in overseeing the football program’s daily operations. This includes developing & fostering relationships with coaches, student-athletes, Virginia Tech Athletics department personnel, University staff and external units. This position will also represent the football program within the Virginia Tech Athletics department, within the Atlantic Coast Conference [ACC], and also within the National Collegiate Athletic Association [NCAA]. The position reports to the Director of Football Operations and Chief of Staff. This role is responsible for adhering to all department & University policies & procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws & interpretations of the ACC & NCAA.
Required Qualifications
Must have advanced computer skills; good communication, organization and time management skills.
Division I experience in football as a student athlete, staff member, or former coach.
Familiarity with a collegiate football coaching atmosphere including terminology.
Must have working knowledge of NCAA rules as they pertain to football team travel, official and unofficial recruiting visits, and recruiting of football student athletes.
Commitment to diversity.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a Division I Power 4 collegiate athletics football program.
Working knowledge of ARMS or similar recruiting software.
