POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Come work with the Gators! The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is seeking an OPS Software Developer to join our web development team within the Information Technology (IT) department beginning Summer 2024. UAA IT is looking for a candidate who is eager to build on their strong technical foundation to develop new skills and to produce business solutions that address the needs of the Florida Gators’ coaches, staff, student-athletes and fans. Duties include: developing, testing and maintaining new and existing web applications; creating design specifications and prototypes and development documentation; working in a collaborative team environment as well as independently. This posting will be open until a qualified candidate has been selected.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

18 years of age

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds

Work efficiently with minimal supervision. Self-motivated. Detail-oriented.

Write clean and concise code

Preferred Qualifications:

Pursuing a Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree

Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JS)

Experience with object-oriented languages and principles, such as C# or Java

Experience with databases & SQL

BENEFITS

:

$15/hour. This is a part-time position with no associated benefits. Variable hours, potentially up to 20 hours per week.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
