The University of Tampa Athletic Department is seeking a strategic and collaborative Part-Time Assistant Swim Coach. Responsibilities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of two years of collegiate coaching experience, or two or more years of leadership experience as a senior club or high school coach.
Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulatory frameworks.
Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED, or the capacity to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Demonstrated capability to teach, refine, and advance both foundational and elite-level swimming techniques.
Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Flexibility to travel and work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, and select holidays.
Proficiency in leveraging modern administrative software platforms and adopting innovative organizational practices.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time appointment with a maximum allocation of 29 hours per week and a cap of 1,000 hours per annually. The operational schedule requires flexibility to accommodate non-traditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, and select holidays, alongside occasional travel for athletic competitions.
