Position Overview

Midland University is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Assistant Track & Field Coach to support our track & field program. Reporting to the Head Coach, this individual will assist with day-to-day training, event execution, and prospective athlete outreach across the Track & Field program on a flexible, part-time basis.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience & Credentials

• Preferred: Minimum of two (2) years of track and field coaching or competitive collegiate and/or high school experience.

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Education or Human Performance focus preferred).

• Required: Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

Skills & Core Competencies

• Solid working knowledge of track & field training and event principles.

• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

• Self-motivated with a positive mindset and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.

• Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed during competition seasons.
