Indiana University Kokomo seeks qualified candidates for Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball. Indiana University Kokomo athletics is a member of the NAIA. IU Kokomo offers 14 varsity sports. The position is hourly and fluctuates depending on the time of year.

- Reports to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach.
- Provides support in the management and administration of all aspects of the program.
- Assists with all aspects of the recruitment process, including development of recruitment plans and targeting potential student-athletes.

- Assists with all aspects of the recruitment process, including development of recruitment plans and targeting potential student-athletes.
- Develops and leads strength training and conditioning programs.
- Attends and leads practice as well as game planning efforts.
- Provides and supervises academic support opportunities.
- Breaks down film and performing analysis.
- Supports in game management functions.
- Develops and implements strategies for motivating and retaining student-athletes.
- Coordinates fundraising events and participating in fundraising and community service projects.
- Assists with the coordination of travel arrangements.
- Enforces policies and procedures as outlined in the student-athlete handbook, team rules, and university student handbook.
- Other duties as assigned by Head Coach.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 3 years of collegiate or high school coaching experience.
- Experience coordinating academics/mentoring students.
Preferred
- Collegiate playing experience.
SKILLS
Required
- Knowledge of NAIA and/or NCAA compliance rules and regulations
- Computer experience and working knowledge of game film editing software (i.e., HUDL, Synergy, Krossover)
Working Conditions / Demands
Ability to work/travel with team early mornings and afternoons, evenings, and weekends as necessary
