Southwestern University seeks candidates for the position of Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach. This is a Regular Part-Time Position that assists the Head Men’s & Women’s Golf Coach with all aspects of the Golf program. The successful candidate is expected to comply with departmental guidelines set forth by Southwestern University, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, and the NCAA Division III.

Primary Duties:

• Provide skill instruction and conditioning work consistent with high-performing NCAA Division III varsity athletic program.
• Recruit and retain highly talented athletes who also have the academic acumen to thrive at SU.
• Participate in fund raising activities to support program objectives.
• Compliance with all university, conference, and NCAA policies, procedures, and by laws.
• Mentor University students by modeling professionalism and high moral standards.
• Support classroom excellence by utilizing all available university resources in support of students.
• Serve as an Administrator in Charge (AIC) of select events during the year.
• Participate on campus committee as requested.
• Serve as an instructor for ESS or FRA classed if qualified.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Demonstrate success in coaching or competing at a highly competitive level.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid or willing to become certified with three months of hire.
• Willingness to adhere to the University’s core values.
• Knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of cultural differences and the diversity within the campus and community.

Preferred Position Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience in Collegiate or professional playing in the sport.
• Knowledge and experience in recruiting college-level varsity athletes.
