The Athletic Department at The University of Tampa has an opening for a Part-time Athletic Communications Assistant.
Responsibilities
1. Serve as the primary athletic communications contact for men’s and women’s basketball, and secondary contact as needed for out-of-season sports.
2. Includes writing and publishing press releases, stories, graphic design and new media coverage for assigned sports.
Oversee student worker athletic communications photography team.
Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.

Qualifications
Must be knowledgeable in sports offered at UT and have basic knowledge in computer programs..
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and nights, weekends and holidays.
Savvy with social media (Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.).
Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Adobe Creative Suite.
Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

Pay Rate
$12.00 per hour
Work Schedule
Part-time schedule may not exceed 29 hours per week/1000 hours per calendar year.
Nights, weekends and holidays as required.
