Position Details

The Athletics Department at The University of Tampa has an opening for a Part-Time Athletic Communications Emerging Media Assistant. This position includes regular office duties and responsibilities at home athletic events. This position includes video production for athletic events, along with new media content oversight.

Responsibilities

• Coverage of videos for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming, softball and tennis teams, including all home events, hype videos and other videos to promote these teams. 

• Assist with management of student video team.

• Ensure proper guidelines are being followed for the University brand across main and team accounts.

• Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with other cultures and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree.

• Experience working with intercollegiate or professional sports.

• Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite.

• Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and other relevant applications.

• Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

Pay Rate

$14.50 hourly

Work Schedule

• Flexibility with schedule is required, to include the availability of early morning and/or some weekends.

• No more than 29 hours per week/1000 hours.
