Expired Date: Feb 27, 2024The Embry-Riddle Athletics Department at the Daytona Beach, FL campus is seeking a part-time (20 hours or less per week) temporary Athletic Healthcare staff to join their team! This team member will assist the ERAU Sports Medicine staff in the prevention, management, and acute/post-acute care of injuries encountered in competitive athletics. This person will assist the ERAU Sports Medicine staff and Team Physicians with pre-participation physical examinations, as well assist in maintaining current athletic records in the records electronic management system. Athletic Healthcare staff assists with pre-practice and pre-competition set-up and post-practice and competition breakdown of tables, coolers, and other supplies needed to support the student-athletes. This person must also communicate effectively with the ERAU Sorts Medicine staff regarding injured or ill student-athletes.
This position does not require travel, however the schedule will include weekends and occasional Holidays. Hours will vary depending upon pre-season, in-season, or out-of-season assignments.
Assignment dates: This is a temporary position with an anticipated end date of 5/6/2024.

Formal High School diploma/certificate/degree program of 6-18 months after high school.
Required licenses, certificates, and/or security clearances:
EMT, ATC (or BOC eligible); CPR/AED for professional rescuers
Required skills, knowledge, abilities:
Knowledge of comprehensive health care
Effective communication skills
No previous sports medicine experience is required.
