Job Summary

The University of North Georgia, Campus Recreation and Wellness is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Esports Supervisor on the Dahlonega campus. This position will provide leadership, vision and coaching for the Esports Team, which competes within the Peach Belt Conference and in other national and regional tournaments against teams across the country. The Esports Supervisor will recruit team members, direct, and manage practices, coordinator competitions and game day operations, organize potential travel schedules and supervise team conduct during competition, travel, tournaments, practices, and other events where the Esports team and University is represented. Foster a team atmosphere that develops a healthy community of gamers and supports team members. Responsible for enhancing revenue by fundraising through sponsor/partner/donor revenue to support the Esports program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance a comprehensive Esports program that focuses on competition and recreation through athletic events including practices, games, and tournaments.
  • Manage marketing and social media efforts.
  • Function as liaison between students and Campus Recreation and Wellness for Esports related questions and concerns.
  • Supervise and work with volunteer coaches to create healthy and effective practice plans and assist students with creating a balanced schedule between school, esports, and other obligations.
  • Consult with Sport Clubs and Teams Coordinator on all matters of the Esports team including eligibility, recruitment, safety, player retention, student conduct, equipment needs, budgeting and fundraising, insurance, and travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
