Job Description

Position Summary
In alignment with the mission of  Chestnut Hill College  to provide a holistic educational experience, the  Head Cheer Coach  is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and development of the cheerleading program. In collaboration with the Director of Athletics, the Head Coach plans, organizes, directs, and supervises all aspects of the program.

The  Head Coach  works closely with Athletics staff and other campus partners to support the philosophy and goals of the intercollegiate athletics program and reports directly to the Director of Athletics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level
  • Demonstrated integrity and character consistent with the mission of Chestnut Hill College
  • Strong knowledge of cheerleading, including training, conditioning, and skill development
  • Ability to assess athlete performance and implement corrective strategies
  • Effective communication skills with student-athletes, parents, and colleagues
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
