Position Details
The Athletics Department at The University of Tampa has an opening for a Part-time Sports Performance Coaching Intern (Strength and Conditioning). This is a limited term position of two 15-week periods covering approximately 8 months (Fall and Spring semesters).
Responsibilities
1. Design, supervision, and execution of strength training programs for various assigned sports teams and individual athletes.
2. Attend to daily maintenance of the training facilities.
3. Learn about athletics and the training of collegiate sports teams.
4. Supervision of volunteer interns.
5. Additional duties assigned as warranted.
6. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications
1. Must hold a Bachelor's degree from a nationally accredited university/college in exercise science or related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Must possess a strong desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach.
3. Must have or be pursuing CSCCa's SCCC, NSCA's CSCS, and USAW certification.

5. Previous internship experience at the collegiate level strongly preferred.
6. Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
7. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

$13.33 per hour not to exceed $10,000.
Work Schedule
No more than 29 hours per week/1000 total hours.
