Responsible for assisting the Athletic Communications office with PioStream operations and video duties. There are a variety of opportunities to work at Lewis & Clark intercollegiate athletics events for an entire academic year.
For PioStream Video positions: You must have an interest in learning, especially by trial and error. You should have a basic understanding of computers and audio/visual equipment and should be excited about technology. We need responsible, hard workers who are self-motivated, reliable and absolutely punctual – and can work with a team. While there will be some training, much of what you will do will be “learning on the job.”
For PioStream Operations positions: You should have a basic understanding of computers, the ability to handle fast-paced situations and the ability to keep your eyes on the action at all times. We need responsible, hard workers who are self-motivated, reliable and absolutely punctual – and can work with a team. While there will be some training, much of what you will do will be “learning on the job.” It’d be really cool if you watched a lot of sports on TV, but this is NOT ESSENTIAL. More so, you will need to understand concepts – why something is counted as something – and be able to make objective decisions. While this is direct sports statistics experience, this is also an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to enter an industry where accurately recording information in a fast-paced environment is critical. By the end of the season, you’ll have practical experience as a statistics inputter and/or caller, which will provide you opportunities to supplement your career with opportunities in sports.
Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College.
