MAJOR FUNCTION: Tallahassee State College is seeking a Part-Time Broadcast Announcer who will be responsible for providing live commentary and engaging play-by-play coverage of various athletic events. This role requires a strong passion for sports, excellent communication skills, and the ability to connect with a diverse audience. The ideal candidate will be able to bring energy and professionalism to each broadcast, enhancing the overall experience for listeners and viewers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver live play-by-play commentary and analysis for athletic events, including but not limited to basketball, baseball, and softball.

• Prepare for broadcasts by researching team rosters, player statistics, and game strategies.

• Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operation of broadcasting equipment and technology.

• Engage with the audience through social media and other platforms to build and maintain a strong fan base

• Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the school positively during broadcasts and public interactions.

• Attend and cover a variety of sporting events, as scheduled by the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience in sports broadcasting or a related field is preferred, but not required.

• Strong knowledge of sports, including rules, strategies, and player profiles.
