Position Summary Information
The Powercat Mascot is a unique position within Athletics Marketing and Promotions. This position is meant to increase and maintain an engaging and thrilling experience for fans during Athletic games and events.
Ability to have high energy and enthusiasm at all times to maintain a thrilling atmosphere. Perform mascot duties in a manner deemed acceptable according to Pacific. Perform and/or provide support to all necessary community and team appearances. Work directly with marketing team to execute any promotions necessary. Must be well organized and flexible to meet time, priority and workload demands. Ability to analyze and interpret common social expressions. Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly. High School Diploma or G.E.D. Experience engaging with/cheering on an audience.
Some Mascot experience. Good communication, listening, and motivational skills. Ability to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces. Ability to wear and move around in a full body costume. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
