This position will be the primary video and multi-media source for men’s basketball. This position will film all games and break down the film for the coaches to review. They will also tape opponent’s games and break down the video for scouting purposes. This position will manage all video libraries and resources for the coaching staff. They will also help develop game preparation materials. The other responsibilities will include preparing recruiting video for coaches.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and three (3) plus years of related experience.
Extensive hand held camera experience shooting sports, specifically football, basketball and lacrosse in addition to press conferences and interviews.
Experience lighting interviews and sets and basic audio field production skills are essential.
Experience editing content on the Avid Media Composer and/or Express Pro platform.
Experience with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects is helpful, as are writing, producing and reporting skills.
Outstanding communication and people skills, strong work ethic and self-direction, creativity and a positive attitude are essential qualifications.
Must understand how to tell compelling stories with pictures, words and sound.
Working knowledge of
NCAA
rules and regulations.
Experience with film exchange, editing, and videography of athletic events required.
Expert knowledge of multi-media management required.
Must have working knowledge of: Synergy, Sportscode, and advanced editing systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Power Point, Excel and all other related programs).
Knowledge of game and fundamentals of basketball (coaching, advance scouting, and/or playing experience preferred).
Ability to multitask.
Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Must Travel to all away games.
Prepare & present pre and post media details for game and practice highlights to coaches and team. Prepare and assess season video. Determine highlights to display to team and coaches.
Formulate and distribute game preparation materials.
Direct multi-media and digital marketing campaigns.
Develop and manage all web content.
Plan, develop and maintain scouting calendar.
Maintain the related databases and archiving material.
Manage video library including all content, scheduling, and archiving procedures.
Develop and analyze statistics for professional teams including current and former athletes.
Other duties as assigned.
