Position Summary Information
About This Role:The primary role of the Production Coordinator is to oversee all ESPN, ESPN3, and Facebook Live productions for Lamar University Athletics. This includes all aspects of production, including pre-production and postproduction duties. The Production Coordinator must be skilled in troubleshooting technical equipment and have a full understanding of various broadcast technologies, and how they will work in conjunctions with each other. The production coordinator will also supervise and train student staff, and part time employees. Other duties may be assigned. What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day duties for athletics video. In charge of pre-production, production and postproduction of all-live broadcasts In charge of broadcast engineering operations including preventive maintenance of video switchers, video router, communication devices, distribution amplifiers, and all other equipment required to produce a televised broadcast. Schedule of broadcast operations crew for multiple sports. provide production knowledge during live broadcasts. Stay current on latest rends within broadcast/production field. Maintain rapport with university athletics staff. Supervise student and part time staff. Work with Associate Director for Athletics AV and Broadcasting to provide a yearly budget request. Monitor and maintain all contract and service agreements for services and equipment upkeep. Perform all other duties as assigned by department head. Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to need of the university. What You’ll Need to Succeed – Minimum Qualifications Associate degree or 3 years’ experience
