Apply NowOVERVIEW: The staff assistant will assist in all operations of the Office of Athletic Communications and will be directly responsible for working with multiple sports, in addition to assisting with football, men’s and women’s basketball, and ice hockey. The individual will also assist with gameday duties at athletic events and aid in creating content and help furthering develop the initiatives in social media and multimedia on the department’s official website, msuspartans.com. Other duties as assigned by Associate Athletics Director/Communications.
COMPENSATION: Nine-month hourly contract (40 hours a week). There will be occasional opportunities to work additional events for extra pay.
START DATE: The selected candidate would begin in mid-August.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate sound judgment and discretion with sensitive information regarding student-athletes, university staff, and the Athletic Department. The MSU Athletic Communications office uses Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, NCAA Live Stats and Stat Crew Software; previous experience with these programs is preferred.
