This position ensures accurate payment of approximately $4 million in athletic financial aid in coordination with the Office of Financial Aid. Monitors 400 student-athletes to award and monitor athletics, university and outside financial aid in accordance with Conference, NCAA, state and federal regulations.
Under the general direction from the Deputy Athletic Director for Administration and Student Services, this position will provide leadership for all athletic financial aid. The position will support and educate coaches and each individual student-athlete. Incumbent will exercise considerable independent judgment to provide aid within NCAA, Conference, and University rules and guidelines. The position will work with key financial offices across campus to coordinate and monitor financial aid awarding for NCAA student-athletes. The Athletics program is perhaps the most highly visible program in the University and is under constant scrutiny by faculty, students, alumni, boosters, the media, and the local community. Athletic Financial Aid and Compliance with NCAA rules and guidelines represent significant exposures for the department and University if responsibilities are not executed properly and in a timely manner.
