This is a professional position responsible for overseeing the staging of all home intercollegiate athletic events and the implementation of the conference and National Collegiate Athletic Association (
NCAA
) rules and regulations pertaining to game management activities. Serves as liaison to outside groups using athletic department facilities and troubleshoots potential conflicts with existing scheduled events. Oversees the department calendar, including the scheduling of team practices, games, and non-athletic department events. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Associate Athletics Director for Business Affairs.
Coordinates the preparation of the overall calendar of events for the Department of Athletics in conjunction with the head coaches and other personnel involved with facility scheduling and services.
Oversees the staging and management of home athletic events, including the hosting of pre-season tournaments and championships.

Serves as departmental liaison to game management entities, including but not limited to concessionaries, ticketing staff, University Police Department, the band, and spirit groups.
Negotiates facility rental agreements and contracts on behalf of the university.
Disseminates necessary information to visiting intercollegiate teams concerning trip procedures, including but not limited to restaurant and hotel guides and campus maps.
Oversees the execution of game confirmation letters to all opponents pursuant to conference policy.

Bachelor’s degree is required.
Two years of related experience is required. Experience in athletic event planning and coordination is required. Experience with
NCAA
intercollegiate athletics is required.
Experience with

Division I intercollegiate athletics is preferred,

Salary Grade - 10
No
This position is eligible for participation in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (
TRS
) retirement plan, subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
