Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Athletics Assistant provides leadership for the development and supervision of MBI’s student athletic staff while adhering to MBI’s Athletic policies and guidelines. Assist in serving patrons and guests of the Solheim Center. Assist in the promotion of MBI athletics, intramurals, and student events. Will work closely with the athletic director to accomplish the vision and mission of MBI Athletics.

• Represent Jesus Christ, MBI, and Moody Athletics when working and relating to others and foster a team atmosphere of community and encouragement.
• Train student staff on athletic and Solheim policies and procedures.
• Enforce all Solheim policies and procedures.
• Assist in organizing and implementing athletic home games.
• Work with outside ministries on organizing gym rentals.
• Oversee MBI Intramurals and work with student IM directors.
• Assist athletic teams and coaches with practice and travel needs.

Will work closely with the athletic director to accomplish the vision and mission of MBI Athletics.

• Assist athletic teams and coaches with practice and travel needs.
• Supervision of Archers’ athletic website and all athletic team social media platforms.
• Work with athletic director on job goals and objectives.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft, Google, and Social Media platforms.
• Certified or becomes certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
• Physical ability to set up athletic equipment and move weight equipment.
• Able to work in the US legally, without sponsorship.

Preferred Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree.
• Familiar with the vision and history of Moody Bible Institute.

• This is a part-time role that is regularly scheduled 15 hours per week.
• The job operates primarily in a professional office environment located in MBI’s athletic facility.
• Will work closely with MBI athletes, coaches, athletic staff, and athletic director.
