Description

Friends University is seeking to fill the Part-Time Assistant Coach Women’s Wrestling position in Wichita Kansas. The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach of Women’s Wrestling in all aspects of the Wrestling program to support the Christian mission and values of Friends University and the NAIA Champions of Character. This will include practice and game day planning and coaching, development of practice and game coaching and strategies. Other duties may include budget management, facility needs, collaboration with the athletic trainers and ensuring retention and graduation of student athletes.

Qualifications

At least two years of collegiate playing and/or coaching experience is preferred. Experience with recruiting and eligibility processes preferred but not required.

Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be able to multi-task and be a part of a fast-paced demanding environment.

Ability to maintain confidential information, demonstrates strong time management and leadership development skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving team van. Must be able to work in a variety of weather and able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
