Job Description
| General Scope of Duties |
Assist the head coach of men’s and women’s swimming and diving with coaching/teaching diving during in-water practice sessions, dryland training, in-meet coaching and pre-meet preparation. The assistant coach will adhere to all NCAA, NESCAC, and College regulations and represent the institution with the highest professionalism.

| General Duties and Responsibilities |
- Assist in daily practice planning, coaching/teaching through video and whiteboard sessions, diving development and technique, and post-practice debrief.
- Assist with pre-meet preparation, in-meet coaching, and post-meet debrief.

| Education and Skills |
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years of diving coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level and/or three years of collegiate swimming & diving competition experience.
- Knowledge of NCAA and NESCAC rules.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and effective communication skills.
- Highest ethical standards regarding sportsmanship, integrity, and professionalism.

| Physical Demands |
- Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach.
- Must be able to demonstrate swimming and diving techniques.
- Ability to enter and exit the pool as needed for instruction or safety.
- Occasionally lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Remain in or around a pool environment for extended periods of time.
- Project voice across the pool area to provide instruction and ensure safety.
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Maintain close and distance vision to observe and assess athletes’ techniques and safety.
