Athletics
Responsible for providing public announcements of team and campus activities for College of Coastal Georgia Athletics.
Responsibilities -
- Provides pre-game, in-game, half time and post-game announcements. Also provide announcements and crowd entertainment during game stoppages by playing music and other entertainment activities through various technology sources.
- Assists in the execution of and announcing of promotions to publicize home athletic events.
- Provides enthusiastic energy to keep the crowd engaged.
- Coordinates with Sports Information Director to ensure game announcements and scripts are prepared and present for home events.
- Provides in-game audio commentary through the video streaming platform, radio or other audio media for any or all of the following sports: Men¿s Basketball, Women¿s Basketball, Volleyball, Softball.
- Provides knowledgeable in-game commentary describing plays or factors affecting play.
- As directed, conducts live or recorded interviews with key campus persons or other College of Coastal Georgia constituents or celebrities.
- Performs related work as required.
Educational Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
Required Experience
- At least one year's experience in broadcasting or broadcast journalism.
- At least one year's experience in sports announcing for any or all of the following sports: volleyball, basketball, softball.
- At least one year's experience in athletics at the collegiate level.

- Bachelors degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in communication, journalism, sports management or a related disciple.

- More than one year's experience in athletics as the collegiate level.
$7.50 per hour
