Position Summary Information
The Public Address (PA) will announce needed information of the sporting events held at the University of the Pacific in an enthusiastic and engaging manner during the event.
Announcing starting lineups, game commentary, and analysis. Providing a dynamic and engaging voice for fans during in-game activities. Knowledge of sport terminology. Strong communication and speaking skills. Experience with calling sport activity play-by-play. Perform other related duties as assigned. High School Diploma or GED. Six (6) months of experience doing public address work.
Experience as a public address announcer for college athletic events. Ability to work in coordination with other game operations staff. Knowledge of sports where you are public address announcer. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
