Department Information
The Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Steeped in history and success while embracing strategic innovation, our programs compete at the highest level and strive for national championships. Tech fans are passionate about their support of their beloved Yellow Jackets and cherish the many traditions involved with the program.
Located in the thriving Midtown area of Atlanta, Georgia, the Georgia Institute of Technology is a leading research university committed to improving the human condition through advanced science and technology. Lead the analyst activities within the football program. This includes collaboration with junior position to break down opponent's offensive/defensive schemes. Create detailed reports, cutups, offensive/defensive playbooks and game books and create and maintain practice plans and game plans. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Student-athletes, coaches, staff, external partners, donors, and fans. This position typically will advise and counsel: Student-athletes. This position will supervise: As assigned.
Job Duty 1 -
Work with the defensive/offensive/special teams staff in the off-season to plan, create, and implement philosophies for the football team
Job Duty 2 -
Assist in the creation of the football playbook. Work with each position coach to synthesize their input into the playbook
Job Duty 3 -
Assist the defensive/offensive/special teams staff in creating a game plan and strategy for each opponent
Job Duty 4 -
Assist with grading after each practice. Input and edit video from each practice. Assist with opponent scouting
Job Duty 5 -
Participate in defensive/offensive/special teams meetings, breakdown opponent's game plan and schemes
Job Duty 6 -
Perform other related duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five to seven years of job-related experience
Preferred Experience
Previous coaching experience in intercollegiate athletics strongly preferred
ABILITIES
This position will require work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including, but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays; travel is required.
