The Recruiting Coordinator will oversee the Syracuse Football recruiting office. This individual will be responsible for planning and executing all on-campus recruiting events as well as organize all communication that is sent to prospective student-athletes on behalf of Syracuse Football and its staff. In addition, the position will be responsible for maintaining the recruiting board and database on a yearly basis. The Recruiting Coordinator will assist the Head Coach in setting all Assistant Coach recruiting assignments (area, travel, etc.). This individual will also evaluate and assign grades to prospective student-athletes based on their athletic and academic qualifications. The person will be responsible for managing the team’s scholarship count and overall roster breakdown and will complete various other recruiting tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.
Bachelor’s degree and successful experience working in a football setting (High school,

3 years’ experience working in a
NCAA
football setting (Power 5 conference preferred)
2 years’ experience working in a leadership position with experience managing other employees.

Effective communicator
Detail oriented, ability to organize large amounts of data
Knowledge of
NCAA
rules and a commitment to rules compliance.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and project a professional attitude.
Commitment to the recruitment of quality student-athletes and ability to evaluate their abilities both athletically and academically.
Ability to support gender and diversity commitment of the department.
Must be eligible to obtain a State of New York driver’s license and must be able to comply with all university requirements pertaining to driving on state business.
Ability to multi-task and meet requirements under pressure and willingness to work extended hours.
Must possess the ability to meet project deadlines and work under time constraint pressures.
Extensive knowledge of social media platforms.
On-Campus Recruiting – responsible for the planning and execution of all official and unofficial recruiting visits by prospective student-athletes.
Recruiting Board – Organize and maintain the recruiting board and database on a yearly basis. Must communicate all changes to entire staff in an efficient way. Also will tie this into maintaining the team scholarship count and overall roster breakdown.
Assistant Coach Recruiting Assignments – Work with the Head Coach to assign all assistant coaches their recruiting areas (geographically) and ensure those tie into the overall strategic plan of the Football program. During active recruiting periods, assign coaches their travel plans in accordance to the overall recruiting plan.
Communication Plan – Develop and execute the recruiting office communication plan to prospective student-athletes (mailers, social media, phone calls, etc.). All communication must be

compliant.

Compliance – Monitor the recruiting office and coaching staff and ensure all recruiting activities fall within established
