Chicago State University is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to serve as the Recruiting Coordinator / Wide Receiver Coach for its FCS Football Program. This dual-role position will play a key part in the success of our newly launched football team, contributing both to the recruitment of top-tier student-athletes and the development of our wide receiver unit on and off the field.
Job Description
Recruiting Coordinator Duties:
Lead and manage all aspects of the football recruiting strategy, operations, and calendar.
Develop and maintain a national recruiting footprint to attract Division I-level talent.
Coordinate communication with prospective student-athletes, families, high school coaches, and recruiting services.
Organize and manage official and unofficial visits, recruiting events, and campus tours.
Maintain recruiting databases and ensure compliance with NCAA rules and university policies.
Collaborate with coaching staff to evaluate talent and build annual recruiting boards.
Oversee digital recruiting strategies, including social media and video content.
Wide Receiver Coach Duties:
Coach and develop the wide receiver position group in alignment with the team’s offensive philosophy.
Plan and execute individual and group drills during practices and workouts.
Analyze film and provide individual feedback to players for skill improvement.
Assist in game planning and opponent scouting, particularly in areas related to the passing game.
Contribute to offensive play-calling and in-game adjustments as needed.
Support academic development and mentorship of student-athletes

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum 2 years of coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
Demonstrated experience in recruiting and talent evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of NCAA rules and recruiting regulations.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
