Restricted Earnings Football Coach

Texas Lutheran University invites applications for a Football Restricted Earnings Coach.   

A Restricted Earnings Coach for football receives valuable college-coaching experience and nominal financial compensation through a stipend plus a meal plan each semester in exchange for service to our football program.  The position to begin August 1, 2026. 

Responsibilities include:

• Coach on the  Defensive side or TE and Assist with Offensive line : individual periods, fundamentals, technique, and film review
• Assist with  Special Teams : drill organization, game-planning, and practice execution
• Contribute to weekly game planning and opponent scouting (HUDL or similar)
• Assist with recruiting: evaluation, communication, social media, and on‑campus visits in accordance with NCAA DIII rules
• Support practice organization, film breakdown, data entry, and other day‑to‑day program operations
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and Defensive Coordinator

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or in final stages of completion)
• Prior playing and/or coaching experience on the  defensive or offensive side of the ball.
• Must comply with all  NCAA Division III ,  conference , and  institutional  rules and policies.

Additional information: 

• Position compensated by a stipend each semester and is  not a full-time position  which does  not  include full-time employee benefits.
