Job Description
The Rodeo Marketing and Event Coordinator performs at the professional level to perform daily activities and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers in assigned areas in accordance with the mission, core values, and purpose of the University. This position will oversee all aspects of the Rodeo Team’s marketing and helps with all events hosted by the team. This position also helps with sponsor management and recruiting needs. Specifically: all poster creations, social media, hall of fame induction ceremony, all fundraisers, annual rodeo, sponsor management, high school finals and state finals recruiting.
This position is located in Stephenville, Texas. Working hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm or as work requirements indicate, some weekends may apply.
Must be able to work remotely at the request of the University.
Responsibilities:
40 % Media and Marketing Management:
Oversee all team marketing, rodeo poster creations, Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony content, Rodeo Programs, Sponsor Management marketing, and Annual NIRA Rodeo content. Create and manage all social media outlets for the Rodeo Team.
20% Event Coordination:
Create Events ticket and booklet marketing design. Oversees the event coordination for Rodeo Hall of Fame, Rodeo Stampede, and Rodeo Programs. Oversees sales of ticket and table purchases by sponsors and donors.
20% Recruitment:
Source, contact, assess, and pipeline qualified rodeo athletes through a wide variety of channels. Explore innovative ways to attract, recruiting top talent. Assist with developing recruitment strategies for assigned positions including, but not limited to developing and activating candidate pipelines, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and social media/search engine channels. Attend high school finals and state finals in a recruiting format for high school rodeo athletes.
10% Sponsor Management:
Identifies, approaches and involves suitable sponsors in the planning and execution of a rodeo event. Oversee sponsors for the team and all Rodeo events.
10% Other:
Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings upon request. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of communications and/or marketing experience or related field.
Preferred Education and Experience:
In addition to required education and work experience, rodeo experience is preferred.
Salary
Commensurate with experience
The target base annual salary is $43,620 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
