. Serve an active role in recruiting, financial planning, team development, and public relations. Attend team competitions, supports athletes, and safely tow rowing shells to and from events. Report to the Associate Director for
SGA
Operations. Demonstrate commitment to issues of social justice and diversity and embody the University’s common ground.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of related experience required. Previous collegiate rowing experience, or equivalent competitive sport background, required. USRowing Level 1 coach certification required. First-Aid,
CPR
,
AED
certification required. Ability to rig, prepare, and transport rowing shells for competitive performance required. Operation of outboard motor and launch. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and motivate employees and students required. Effective computer skills required. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work successfully with diverse populations including students, students of color, faculty, administrators, staff, and community members required.
Familiarity with University policies, standards, and procedures in related areas desirable.
$37,000-$41,000 (9 month term)
Funding expected to last a minimum of 2 years, after which contingent on Student Government Association funding.
Non-standard work hours required, A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
