Job Description
According to the NCAA, the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) is the highest-ranking female in each NCAA athletics department or conference office. The purpose of the SWA designation is to promote meaningful representation of women in the leadership and management of college sports.The SWA will collaborate with the Director of Athletics to support and advance the mission of the Department of Athletics and Idaho State University.
The SWA / Sr. Associate AD for Internal Operations & Sports Performance is responsible for direct oversight of the areas of athletic training services, strength training, equipment services, gender equity, and sports administration. The SWA / Sr. Associate AD will work to implement policies, protocols and initiatives which enhance the quality of the student-athlete experience, enhance their health and wellness, and support their educational goals. The SWA / Sr. Associate AD assists in ensuring strong collaboration with compliance and academics, delivering quality educational and auxiliary programming to student athletes and coaches, and developing sound processes to ensure the delivery of holistic support to student athletes according to the institutional mission and NCAA requirements, and oversight of championships hosted at Idaho State University.. As part of the department leadership team, the SWA serves as the sport administrator for multiple men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletic teams and participates in goal-setting, performance management, and budget planning and monitoring. The SWA is responsible, in partnership with the AD and the FAR, for leading, developing, implementing and monitoring progress on the Five Year Plan for Gender Equity.
The position requires a travel commitment of up to 50%.

Additional Information

Salary will be between $88,000 - $96,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
